Brilliant Biographies

Our Primary 7s have really enjoyed learning about varieties in writing styles, in particular, studying biographies in detail. We discussed the features of biographies, highlighting the importance of third person narrative and chronological writing!

They then picked a famous figure, whether it was their favourite singer, sportsperson, actor/actress or author and put on their detective hats, researching their chosen public figure and gathering information on them. From Pele to Dolly Parton, Messi to Michael Jackson, we had a fantastic range of biographies!

They then drafted their own biographies about them and took into account everything they had learned throughout their study of biographies! Their finished pieces were extraordinary! They then created their own portrait of their chosen figure. Well done P7
