Whoever said Minecraft can’t be educational?!
Today in ICT club, our boys and girls are finishing their Minecraft project. During the past couple of weeks, they have been learning about creating virtual worlds and making cross curricular links with Geography, History and Science.
The children have been creating an old settlement using their Minecraft knowledge, exploring what materials to use to build their houses, how the people living in the settlement could protect themselves using old weapons or moats around their buildings and also how they could get their food and water source.
It’s been a fun couple of weeks and we’ve loved hearing the children talk about how Minecraft can be fun AND educational! :)
