P6/7 Weather Watching!

10th Feb 2021

As part of our new World Around Us topic for this term, our Primary 6 and 7 boys and girls have been researching and studying the various Eco-Systems from around the world.

The children were tasked to research weather conditions from areas such as Polar Regions, Rainforests and Deserts from all over the globe as part of their Thematic Unit of ‘Impact’ - how Eco-systems and regions are being impacted by natural and man-made interventions.
They then had to plan and produce their own weather news channel based on the weather conditions of their chosen place.

As you can see, they’ve done an outstanding job at sending Mrs Symington just some of their creations! (There’s even some inclusion of green-screening and some props for effect!)

Very clever boys and girls! We are so proud of how you are demonstrating so many cross-curricular skills in ICT, Literacy AND World Around Us even when we can’t all be in school together. Amazing job P6/7!
