Today, in celebration of Science Week Ireland and its theme ‘Then, Today, Tomorrow’ our Primary 5, 6 and 7 children took a trip down the road to Gortgonis to Northern Hydraulics. We were able to see the workings of a real-life factory and had such a fun time exploring each station and what jobs were done at it. It was amazing to see this work in action & look at the future of our world in front of our eyes
We enjoyed learning all about the process of making hydraulic cylinders and their use for different purposes; we even went on a treasure hunt to look for posters telling us the different areas of the factory! We got amazing goody bags to take away with us, too!
