St. Brigid’s Day Celebrations!
30th Jan 2026
Today was a wonderful day in Holy Family PS, as we came together as a whole school community to celebrate St. Brigid, in anticipation of her special feast day on Sunday 1st February.
The morning started off with an amazing assembly led by our superb Primary 1 and 2 children, who spoke beautifully about St. Brigid, who she was and how we celebrate her life. They spoke so well about her crosses and their origin and treated us to a fantastic rendition of ‘Sing a Song to Brigid’. A huge well done to the boys and girls, and Mrs McNally and Maria for such a brilliant assembly!
We then invited parents, grandparents and families to join us as we spent the rest of the morning making some lovely St. Brigid’s crosses. A special word of thanks to Fr. John McCallion for visiting us and blessing everyone’s beautiful crosses - we are so grateful for his support
We hope everyone had a wonderful morning - we know we did!
