Stepping Back to Viking Times
16th Dec 2025
Today, we welcomed the wonderful Stephanie from Time Steps Living History, who brought her Viking workshop to life for our Primary 6 and 7 children. We’ve been studied the topic this term and we’ve enjoyed every second of it. We were introduced to ‘Freyja, Sven’s daughter’, a Viking woman who talked all about life as a Viking settler.
We chatted all about our prior knowledge of the Vikings and their links to the Loughshore. ‘Freyja’ demonstrated how to use Viking weapons, discussed protection in battle and how Vikings lived their day-to-day lives.
We had an amazing morning and learned so much, whilst also showing off just how much we’ve studied this term. Thank you again to Stephanie aka ‘Freyja’ for a brilliant morning!
